Review:

Yes, that's right. I jumped forward in time and picked up the movie spin-off of the hit ABC show. Well, no, not really, but that would be really freakin awesome, wouldn't it? No, LOST the movie is a movie about a man trying desperately to get across the Mojave Desert, even as his enemies and the desert itself try to keep him from his destination. Now, if you are not a fan of Dean Cain, stay away from this flick. He is 99% of the movie. Virtually every shot, every line belongs to him. Fortunately, he hits them all out of the park. He does an insanely good job as the "hero" of the film. As a thriller, it's okay. Not great, but certainly better than average. The big problem with the movie is, like its hero, it tries to look smarter than it really is. Lost tries to tie in some unnecessary driving metaphors, but all they do is distract from the overall story. I'd still recommend this as one of those movies that you might overlook in the video store, even though it really is a gem.
